"In my 18 years as an attorney, I
have seen the impact of financial and emotional costs imposed upon litigants and the need
for the courts to address this important issue. In particular, I want to ensure that case
decisions are based on an objective and careful evaluation of the issues. This means
consideration of appropriate facts, and consideration of the needs of the parties
involved, their attorneys and their cases. Court decisions should not be affected by
outside influences, such as financial differences, public opinion or personal desires, but
rather decided upon by their merits. As Judge, I will focus on the fair and timely
resolution of cases, keeping the financial and emotional burden at a minimum." |
Paul is very honored to have the following
endorsements:
Gloria E. McClellan, Mayor of Vista
Darrell Issa, Candidate for U.S. Congress
San Diego County Court Clerks Association
California Justice Council PAC
Steve Baldwin, California State Assemblyman
Daniel L. Munoz, Publisher of the county wide newspaper, La Prensa.
CANDIDATE'S STATEMENT
A judge must uphold and follow the law. That means first LISTENING and
UNDERSTANDING the rights and positions of the respective parties to a lawsuit.
Everyone in the courtroom is entitled to respect and dignity from the bench. I
promise to make myself accountable to the citizens of San Diego County.
Judges are usually personally appointed by the governor. Then, every six years, that
appointment must be validated through re-election by the people they have served.
But, if a judge is not challenged, his or her name does not even appear on the
ballot. That should be changed. It is time for every judge up for re-election
to face the voters to explain what he or she is doing to improve the administration of
justice, including fairness in and access to the courts, and the speedy and economical
resolution of disputes and problems.
VOTE FOR DIGNITY, RESPECT, AND ACCOUNTABILITY FROM THE
BENCH.
VOTE PAUL TEYSSIER FOR JUDGE.
